SHARP Shotokan Karate Kids Cup II

On April 15, 2023, the SHARP Shotokan Karate Kids Cup II was held in the beautiful sports facility at Hala GOSTiR Rzgów, organized by Dragosfera and Piotr Figura. JKA/WF Belarus was honored to have Chief Instructor Dmitry Osika serve as the Chief Judge for the tournament, with additional JKA/WF Belarus judges joining the officiating team to ensure a successful event.

The tournament was themed "Children for Children," and proceeds supported the courageous young fighter Franio Wroński, a brave child facing ongoing health challenges. The event saw competitors from Dragosfera Łódź, Łódzki Klub Karate Tradycyjnego, and Karate Klub Warszawa, all of whom participated in three events per age category: Karate Skills Challenge, Individual Kata, and Individual Kumite. This tournament also marked the first time the JKA ruleset was applied, allowing children aged 9 and up to compete in Jiyu Kumite (free sparring).

Special thanks go to the GOSTiR Rzgów management and staff for hosting the event, and to Sharp Consumer Electronics Poland for sponsoring exceptional prizes.
