JKA/WF Belarus Gasshuku with Kobayashi Sensei on April 2019

JKA/WF Belarus held the first Gasshuku in Minsk on April 4-7. The seminary has gathered more than 140 followers of karate from seven countries: Belarus, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Ukraine and Japan. Kunio Kobayashi, an instructor with 7th dan at the Japan Karate Association Headquarters, conducted 12 classes.

Kobayashi Sensei has not only passed on his kata and kumite knowledge but also inspired the audience with his outstanding technique and passion for martial arts. Thirty-seven applicants have successfully passed exams for 1-4 dan. Six senior instructors from Belarus and Russia have successfully passed the qualifications examinations.

The seminary participants have spent four incredible days studying karate, motivation, and communicating with colleagues and friends. These were truly days to remember.
